1. The Service

DateScan is a web-based tool that uses browser-based AI to analyze your outfit, grooming, and posture from a live camera feed, then provides style and confidence feedback. The service is provided "as-is" for entertainment and self-improvement purposes. It is not professional styling, dating, psychological, or medical advice.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use DateScan. By using the service you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly allow minors to use DateScan.

3. Your Account and Access

DateScan's free tier does not require an account. Paid plans (Weekly Pass, Lifetime) are tied to your browser's local storage and device. If you clear your browser data, your Pro status on that device may be lost — see our Refund Policy for details.

4. Acceptable Use

When using DateScan, you agree not to:

• Use the service to analyze anyone other than yourself without their explicit consent.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code beyond what is visible in the browser.
• Use the service to harass, bully, or harm another person.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, paywalls, or security measures.
• Scrape, spider, or automate the service with bots.
• Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute DateScan or any part of it.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on DateScan — including the name "DateScan", the logo, the interface design, the code, copywriting, and branding — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without written permission.

Third-party libraries used by DateScan (MediaPipe, Tailwind, fonts, etc.) are owned by their respective creators and governed by their own licenses.

6. Your Content

Since DateScan processes your camera feed locally in your browser, you retain full ownership of any photos or recordings. We do not claim any rights to your images because we never receive them.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

DateScan is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• The analysis or feedback will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purpose.
• The service will achieve any specific dating, social, romantic, or personal outcome.
• The service will be compatible with your device or browser.

DateScan's feedback is generated by rule-based heuristics and should be treated as entertainment, not as professional advice. Your real-world confidence and attractiveness depend on countless factors beyond what a camera can measure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DateScan and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

9. Payment and Subscriptions

Paid plans are offered through Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com), which acts as our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects payments, handles VAT/sales tax, and issues receipts on our behalf. By purchasing a plan, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service.

We currently offer the following plans:

• Single Scan — $1.99 one-time
• Weekly — $4.99 auto-renewing every 7 days
• Monthly — $9.99 auto-renewing every 30 days
• Yearly — $24.99 auto-renewing every 365 days

Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly plans are recurring subscriptions that automatically renew until you cancel via the Lemon Squeezy customer portal (link included in your purchase receipt). Prices are shown in USD and may include applicable taxes depending on your location. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to DateScan at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of DateScan at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of DateScan after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the country in which DateScan's operators are established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
